THE WOODVILLE RACES. Woodville This Day.

The weather was dull for the races, but there were somo 1500 people on the course. The fields were small, and no dividends of any consequence were paid. The Handicap Hurdle Eace fell through, no horses coming: to the post. Over J22300 was passed through the machine. Results:— Stewards' Handicap — Lady Isabel, 1 ; Kclipse, 2. Redwood's Prince Cole carried off the double, the Havelock Cup and tho Pclorus Stakes ; and Mangawai the Hurdles. The weather was fine but cold. The dividends were small, except on the Hack Eace, when Listen to ! Mo paid .£lO 17s. . Owners of _ trotting horses aro reminded that nominations for the coming meeting of tho Wellington Trotting: Club close with tha Secretary at tho Now Zealander Hotel, tomorrow evening at 9. Wo have received from tho publisher, Mr. S. J. Dyer, tho Wellington Directory, Almanac, and Nautical Almanac for 1893. The work contains much useful information, concisely given.
