THE SILVER DIFFICULTY. INCREASING OUTCRY IN INDIA.
[UNITED FREBB ASSOCIATION.] (Efloeived August 23, 10.40 a.m.) Calcutta, 22nd August. The clamour throughout India for the closing of the mints to the coinage of silver is increasing, and the refusal of the Government to indicate a means to avert the danger has incensed all sections of the populace. London, 22nd August. The latest quotation for silver is 3s 2d 3-16ths.
