ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
[By Telegraph. I /Our Own Correspondent.) Palmerston North. This Day. Two men, named Richal and Richards, received severe cuts and bruises about the fare yesterday by the explosion of a dynamite detonator, which Richal accidentally dropped into a fire. [united press association. I Oamaru, 20th August. A girl, 12 years of age, named Sincock, was playing near a timber stack in Mr. M'Callum's yards this morning, when a quantity of timber fell upon her and crushed her. She died in a couple of hours. Masterton, This Day. A five-year-old son of Mr. Richard Hatch died this morning from injuries sustained through his clothes taking fire yesterday. Auckland, This Day. The body of an elderly man was found this morning by a small boy underneath the Hobson-street Wharf. It had evidently been in the water for about a fortnight, the features being decomposed beyond recognition. The body has not been identified.
