Acceptances for next Saturday's meeting of the United Hunt are coming forward freely, and the various fields bid fair to be large. The acceptances close to-night at the Eoyal Oak Hotel. Mr. D. H. Mackinnon, Secretary of the Hunt, visited the Hutt racecourse yesterday, and arranged with the Wellington Racing Club to put in some temporary drains. Sir. Mackinnon states that the course yesterday, notwithstanding the late heavy rains, was" in no degree in a worse condition than it was on Saturday last, and with the remedial measures to bo adopted, and given that the weather holds up, a good day's sport may be anticipated.
