[ special.] London, 30th Juno.

Tho Townsville (Queensland) and Hobart Chambers supported Sir C. Tupper. Auckland and Canterbury remained neutral, and Brisbane did not voto. The other colonial Chambers opposed the amondment. Mr. Graham, of Canterbury, moved to equalise the duties throughout the Empire, but tho motion was rejected. It was resolved that it is desirable the Merchandise Marks Act should be universally applied to the colonies.
