Sydney, This Day. The damage to the Theatro Royal is computed at between £1500 and £2000. The continued depressed state of the Newcastle coal trade is causing anxiety, and there is evidence that from whatever cause foreign trade iB unpleasantly diminishing. Melbourne, This Dat. The Government has deoidod to reduce tho strength of the militia by 1000 men, and thus save .£20,000 per year. The solicitor who accompanied Mrs. Parker explains that they wore proceeding: to Sydney to collect evidenoe on bohalf of the accused, but the latter chanired her mind at Albnry, and returned to Melbourne. Adelaide, This Dat. The Premier has resigned, and Mr. F. W. Holder, who moved the amendment, has been summoned to form a now Government.
