The magnificent assortment of winter 1 dress fabrics with which we opened the present season, has been duly appreciated by the ladies of Wellington and suburbs. Our sales have been numerous and satisfactory, and tho resources of our dressmaking department have been sovqrely taxed to keep paco with the constant inflow of orders to To Aro House. Nevertheless many ladies have deferred thoir choice, and are doubtless waiting to see the lost new fabrios out, and as we have been constantly receiving fresh supplies, we would ask them respectfully to inspect our latest additions at To Aro House. We havo oponed out new designs and colourings in dress tweeds, both of colonial and European manufacture, and aro also shewing some tasty things in robe dreßS lengths, both novel and effective, at To Aro House. W* would call special attention to our patotit porous waterproof serges, warranted fast dye, whioh are in great demand. Wo can strongly recommend those, not only as making up effectively, but as possessing thorouehly good wearing qualities. These are worth seeing at To Aro House. In black silks wo would invite inspection of our " Cashomore " diagonal wearproof, a now make, pure in dye, light in weight, and whioh will not wear greasy. With every dress length we give a guarantee bond for twelve months' fair wear, at Te Aro House. — Advt. Wilkins aud Field, of Manners-streot. They havo an immenso stock of all tho above lines, and the prices they are marked at will bear comparison with any house in town. Their new samples of lanvp's are no* temptingly displayed in the window, and aro being shown lighted every evening". They are marked in plain figures, and at prfofiU that should command a ready sale. — AdVt 1 / Pianos-. — We hate just landed, ex steamer Duke of Westminster, ono of tno largest shlpisonts of pianos we have yot received, including Lipp & Sohn, Ibach & Sohn, Collard & Collard, and other well-known makers. Theso instruments aro really superior to the usual shipments of pianos to this markot, and need no trumpeting to sound their .praise, as their exquisite tone and touch will recommend thein^ anywhere. The 75 guinea piano wo are grring away gratis to purchasers of pianos at pur establishment on 21st August, 1892, is now on view in our window, and wo solicit buyers to inspect our stock at once. — Soonllar and Chisholm.— Advt.
