Shares are very firmly held— tho best of indications. Exchange havo boen quiot, and developments at tho mino aro looked for. Globo havo also boon in bottor roqnest, and shares ahow a slight advance in value with a dooidedly firmor feeling. Nothing froah from the Gordon mino in roportod, and Dark aro at about last week's quotations. Buyors of Lord Edward aro unsuppliod at 3s to-day, holders asking a littlo moro. Good returns continuo from No. 2 Dark mino, but tho sharoa havo not much of a turn of business yot. Progress aro as boforo, and Eussoll aro quiet, but work at tho mino is progressing well in bottor country. Both the mine and the battery at tho Alpino appear to bo improving, and there uro all the indications of business being likely in this well-known stock boforo long.
