Morley brought up tho roport of tho Woßloyan Jubileo Thanksgiving Fund. > The report showed that tho total subscriptions promised to tho fund up to this dato amount to 67832 10s lOd, of which tho sum of .£3991 3s has been donated to the general fund and .£3841 7s lOd to local objoots. Tho trusts of churches in tho Several ■circuits havo already boon rolioved of debt to tho amount of JJIOGO, which would still havo remained unpaid but for tho stimulus ot tho jubilee movement. On tho motion of tho Roy. VV. Baumbor, the following rocommondations of a joint meeting of tho committees of tho /übileo and Chnrch Building and Loan Funds, hold in Chnstchurch, woro adopted:— 1. That "solution 15, page 74, Conference minutes, DonL 80 Inotllfiotl a 8 to allow tho sum of i-JOOO to bo at once transferred from tho Jubiloo Fund lo tho Loan Fund. 2. That tho Loan Fund Committco bo empowered to grant special loans to embarrassed trusts on such terms as may bo docidod upon by tho said committoo after investigation by them of , tho circumstancos of such trusts ; (o) that tho said committoo bo also empowered to ucquiro now sites ; (d) that the total sum to be used by tho committeo for tlio two precoding pnrposos do not oxcood .£2OOO. Tho Roy. W. Banmbor alluded to tho rosignation of the Bey. W. Morley as General Soorotary, and explainod that tho Committee deplored tho loss of that gentleman's services. The Roy. W. Kirk movod a resolution flsprossing the regret of the Conferouco at tho resignation of the Kov. W. Morley. Tho motion was secondod by Mr. "Allon, of Auckland, and carried by aoclamttion. Tho Eov. Mr. Morloy, in acknowledging the compliment, said that thoro was every I reason to bo satisfiod with the rosults of the Jubiloo movoraont. Ou tho motion of tho Roy. Mr. Morloy tho ■roport was idoptcd, and it was also resolved that it and tho resolutions just passed should be printed. Tho committeo wore appointed for another year. Tho Rev. W. Baumber and Mr. E. C. Brown wero appointed goneral treasurers of the fund. CONNEXIOJfAL TBUBTS. Roports in connection with tho various eonnoxional trusts wero road and adopted. THE THREE KINCIB COLLEGE. On tho motion of the Eov. H. Bull, a vote of thanks was passed to. the Rev. VV. Leo for baa services as Acting-Principal of tho Throe Kings College, Auckland, and to tho ICev. J. H. Simmonda, who had also assisted in the work sinoo tho Rev. A. Reid's death. The following gentlemon wero appointed a committee to manage the Colloge :— Tho Ministers of the Auckland and Manukau oiroiuts, Messrs. J. Edson, R. Hobbs, F. L. Prime, T. Buddie, A. S. Russol], J. Gittos, P.H. Mason, W. H. Smith, F. A. White, W Griffin, T. M'Master, R. Arthur, t! Allen, G. A. Buttle, J. L. Wilson, J. Heron, G. Winstone, W. Thorite, S. J. Ambury, A. C. Caughoy, and J. C. Dickinson. At 5 o'clock tho Conference adjourned until 7.30. BUNDAY SCHOOLS. On resuming, tho Roy. W. B. Marten read the roport on tho Sunday Sohools. Tho number of schools was shown to bo 220, as against 227 at tho last annual session, tho number of scholars boing put down at 19,409, or an inoreaae of 76 ovor tho provioua year. Thore are 20G0 teachers, or 64 more than when the Conference last met. Tho cost of management was .£2024 18s, or .2113 10a 2d leas than in tho previous year. Tho roport was adopted. On tho motion of the Rev. W. B. Marten, a vote of thanks was passed to the Rev. G. Bond for hia services as goneral secretary, and ho was reappointed. On the motion of tho same gontloman, the following wero appointed as district Bocretarios :— Auckland, Roy. T. G. Carr; Wanganm. Roy. C. E. Beecroft; Wellington, Rev. J. Dnkeß : Nelson, Roy. F. W. Isitt; Canterbury, Eov. D. J. Murray ; Otago, Roy. J. A. Luxford. A NEW DEFABTURE. Tho committeo on Sunday-school Examinations recommendod— l. Tho ostablishmont of a Now Zealand Wesleyan Sunday-school Union, with branches in each district. 2. That a Committeo of Management, consisting of an equal numbor of ministers and Sunday-school workers, be appointed by the Conforenoe, whoao duties shall bo— (a) To soleot a Central Board of Examiners, who shall prepare examination papers and arrange for the Buper\iaion of all examinations, (b) To arrango for a regular supply of tho necessary literature. 3. That annual examinations bo hold, the dates to be hereafter fixed. Tho recommondationa wero adopted. THE (ECUMENICAL COUNCIL. Tho Reva. J. Borry, and W. Morley, and Mr. T. Allen, three of tho dolegatos from Now Zealand to tho fficumonical Conference, Washington, gave acconnts of the proceedings at that gathering.
