THE REVOLT SPREADING. A BATTLE IMMINENT AT RIO GRANDE.
j SPECIAL. | (Received November 24, 11 a.m.) Rio de Janeiro, 23rd November. Bahia and Pornambuco are arming with a view to revolting. General Allison has loft the city with a force in transports, to engage the rebels at Rio Grande. Six ships belonging to the Junta are guarding the ontrance to the river. It is rumoured that the insurgents are preparing to capture Desterro, in the Island of St. Catharina, for the sake of Its harbour.
