Tho Resident Magistrate's, Wardon's and Assessment Conrta sat yesterday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tho charge against W. T. Erakino br Mr. Boanchamp for unlawfully marking and branding his sheep was dismissed. V. C. Vonomoro was fined £1 and oists for selling New Zealand wino without a license It appeared from the evidence the offence was committed innocently. In tho caso of the Official Assignee v. Dnnphy, judgment was reserved. In this case Dunphy mado a transfer of a sha.ro in tho Te Ore Ore claim to his wife just before his bankruptcy. Thero is now moro than enough to pay the creditors in full, and tho Official Assigneo Books to prove that tho transfer was fraudulent. Dr. Drury finally loft to sottlo in Otaki to-day. Thoro is only one J.P. in tho district now..
