On Wednesdays and Saturdays, Lower Hutt for Wellington at 10.15 p.m. and Wellington for Lower Hutt at 11.15 p.m. All time-tables issued prior to this date are now oanoelled. GENERAL CONDITIONS. Arrival and Departure o,f Trains. — The Department does not pledge itself as to the despatch or arrival of tho trains at the exact time shewn in the Time Tables ; should oiroumstanoes render it impossible or inexpedient for a train to proceed, the fares paid will he returned ; the Department does not undertake to forward passengers in suoh oases. j. Children. — Children under three years of age are carried free ; above three and under twelve years of age at half fare. Passengars can ba booked at stations conditionally only that there is room in the train. Passongerß entering the train at a booking station without a tioket, or having got in at a flag station, and not taking a tioket at the proper booking station, will be oharged one ahilling in addition to the ordinary fare. Luggage. — Eaoh passenger is allowed to take 1121bs of personal luggage free (not inoludinpr merchandise of any kind), and for every 561bs or fraction of 561bs above thiß weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the oharge will be one Bhillinjr. No luggage will be allowod to be taken into the carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience. The Department will not be responsible for luggage whioh is not carried in the van, or whioh passengers may have neglected to sco labelled. Passengers having luggage to go by train must present it at the station at least ten minutes before the advertised departure of the train, or the Department will not be responsible for its despatch. Passengers who have lost luggage ore requested to give notice to the Stationmasters at once. The Department will not be responsible for any luggage or parcels improperly left about the station premises. Parcels must be at tho station at least thirty minutes before the advertised time of departure of the train by which they are to be forwarded. Dogs must be providod with chains, or other fuffioiont means of seonring them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and tho sender must obtain a tioket, to be given up before the end of the journey, before the dog is delivered. Horses, Carriages, and Dogs .—The Department does not undertake to forward horses, carriages, or dogs by any particular train j but when sent, they must be at the forwardnp station half -an-hour before the departure of the train. The owners of horses must provide means of securing them in the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not be accountable for any uvjuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vioiouß horses. At oountry stations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage-truoks must be made the day before they are wanted. Smoking is strictly prohibited in any part o the railway premises, or in the carriages, except those specially set apart and marked for the purpose.
