"We are informed that the Publio Trust Office Commissioners, who are drawing their labonrs to a olose, have had nothing whatever to do with any action that may have been taken by the Government in regard to any officials connected with the Public Trust Department, nor have they beon in any way consulted upon such matters by the Government. A conference of delcgate.s from Connty Councils whose revenue has been affected by the abolition of the duty of 2s per ounce on gold and the Crown Lands Bating Act was opened in the Government Euildinga this afternoon.
