mHE GREAT CONSUMPTION CURE. Dr. Koch'H Curo for Consumption ia atill exciting tho public mind ; but thero is considerable divoriiity of opinion a3 to its being a reliablo means of chocking that terrible and insinuating disoass. For other severe complaints, however, such as Rlioumatism, Neuralgia, Muscular btrains and Bruises, St. Jacob's Oil i-till stands pre eminent. In fact, the sales of St. Jacob'B Oil are more than double thoge of any other proprietary medicino in the world, and ten times greater than those of all other liniments and embrocations. These important faota are worth noting, since St. Jacob's Oil could not poi-aibly have attained such a record except on a basis of sterling merit. No family Bhould be without a bottle of this world-renowuod specific, aa it may be needed at any moment. Accidents will happen oven in the best regulated families. From the Puhlio Works Department, Wellington. With reference to the sample of Mokau Coal recently forwarded to this office in order that a trial of the same might be made, I have now the honour, by direction of the Minister for Pnblio Works, to state that the coal referred to has been tried in ordinary grates, and it is found to be of good quality and suitable for housohold purposes. W. H. Hales, Acting Engineer-in-Chief. From Meßara. Robertson and Co., Engineers, Wellington. We have tried the sample of Mokau Coal, and find it excellent steaming coal, burning with a clear flams and strong heat, while leaving a pmall quantity of aah and quite clear of clinker gives it a deoided advantage for firing up in the furnace, and in addition we consider it highly suitable for household use. Robertson & Co. From Mount Egmont Freezing Works. It gives me great pleasure in certifying to the exoellent steaming qualities of the Mokau Coal for the generation of steam. I have known the ooal for several years, and can speak of its improving quality year by year. One great merit is the small quantity of clinker, and which is easily removed from the firo bara. We have been using the Mokau Ooal for the laat aeven months, and prefer it to any other tried, owing to its getting steam quickly in oomparison with other coal— Greymouth instance. I fiud that Mokau suits our purpose better, and is fully as economical Walter Stoddabt, Engineer. Note.— As thia is a purely Co-operative Company, the publio, by taking shares, will not onlj procure their coal at a cheaper rate, but will participate in the pro6t uanally made, under ordinary circumstances, by the middle-man or dealer.
