LAND BOARD.

An adjourned meeting of the Land Board was held today. Present— Messrs. J. W. A. M&rohant (Commissioner), A. \V, Hose M.H.E., D. H. Macarthur, M.H.E., W. W. McCardle, and W. A. PiUherbert Titles were granted the following selectors :— J. Brodie, section 8, block 11, KopnaraDga; G. W. Theobalds, eections 85, 88, and 101, Hunterville ; P. Kleins, seotioni 62 and 63, Hunterrille; W. Wilsons, section 44, Hnnterrille ; J. J. Eason, section 16, Levin. The Board decided not to grant a title to J. Holmes, seotion 6, Levin, as improvements had not been done ; and in regard to the application of J. V. Smith, seotion 7, block 3, Wairoa, tho Banger was instructed to verif j the btatement aa to improvements. Transfers were approved as under : —Part of section 83, block 7, Mangaone, from J. A, Ordish to J Barker, the latter to be informed that the Board has no power to extend the term of lease as desired; seotion 13, blook 7 Tararuß, from G. Smith to J. Smith ; seotion 80, block 6, Mangahao, from the Public Trustee in the estate of W. Eaton (deceased) to J. Eaton ; seotion 4, blook 14, Apiti, from E. Howe to H. Tolley ; seotion 3, blook 14 Apiti, from W. H. Howe to H. Tolley: section 38, blook 11, Ongo, from T. Hogg to A. K. Cox ; section 11, Levin, from T. Jukes to J. Howf 11. Baker iad applied for seotion 104, Hunterrille (Tillage Settlement, in conjunction with F L M'Fadden, although he had already lelected a seotion. With referenoo to the question of village soleotors on deferred payment being allowed Borne concession in the tot ii amount of improvements required to be effected by them, tho Commieaionor submitted a Bohcdulo supplied by tho Kangor, Bhowiiur those seleotora affeotod by the proposal. It was resolved, aftfir a short discuEaion, to defer consideration of tho mattor until next meeting. Tho Commissioner submitted a schedule of seleotora who have not effeoted their improvements, and it wp.h rtEolvod to take aotion aa recommended by the Commissioner. After receiving an explanation from Mr. Sav&go iih to tho reason he parted with hia hoc tion, it wan resolved to allow him to complote the traußfer to Mr. Odin. With regard to the sale of the Mangaramaranift Village Hoineßtead Settlement, it wua unanimously resolved to re-advertiso tbe sale of the now allotments, so as to give time for the survey and opportunity to tho settlors to see tho now lots boforo applying. It was deoided to obtain a Bpeoial report before allowing E. Smith to piy off and obtain a title to seotion 43, block 7, Mangaono. A list of over 80 selectors in various parts of the distriot who aro in arrears with their improvements was submitted and considered.
