Trimolite showed tbo way, and with Smuggler olnarnd the hurdlo entering the straight, which the latter knockod and fell at, but Chapman, his ridor, eeoapnd unhurt. Trimolito kept in front tho wholo way, and won easily, full of running. Time, 3min Sjeo. Dividends, £2 17rf and £2 12a. Anniversary Handicap, of 120 cove ; one mile and a quartor. Mr. J. Fnrest King led for a qnarter of a mile when he was pasaed by Mariner, who was never headed for the rest of tho journey. At the back of tho course Mariner and Miaa > Goorge loft the field, and tho latter pat in a good claim at the bead for home, but when onoe Buddicombo drove Mariner along he answered the o/ill, and won by a clear couplo of lengths.
