POSTED AT LLOYD'S. THE IMPERIAL INSTITUTE. THE LOSS OF H.M.S. SERPENT. [united pbiss association.] (Reoeived Deoember 19, 10.15 a.m.) London, 18th Deoember. Tte ship Camperdown, whioh left Simons' Bay (Capetown), for Newcastle, on 11th August, is posted at Lloyd's as missing. The scheme drawn up by Sir Frederick Abel, Organising Seorotary to the Imperial Institute, for holding a Mining and Metallurgical Exhibition in oonneotion with the opening of the Imperial Institute, was formally submitted to-day to H.R.H. th« Prinoe of Wales, President, who expressed himaelf ' deoidedly in favour of the propotal. It is intended to give great prominence to metal works. Sir Frederick Abol oonsidera that the extent of ground available is sufficient for the pnrposes of tho Exhibition. (Received December 19, 10.45 a.m.) London, 18th Deoember. Tho court martial enquiry into the loss of H.M.S. Serpent has found that it was attributable to bad navigation.
