MR. MILLAR'S MISREPRESENTATIONS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir— At tho mass mooting or Unionists and their friends in the Theato Koyal thia wook, Mr. J. A. Millar, Secretary of the Maritimo Council, said that the eyes of the world were upon them (Unionists), and the principles of Unionism wan what a million and it half of men were working for in Australasia (vide N.Z. Times report). As the estimated population of Australasia (Hay tor) is lets than four millions, one-fifth of these oan be considered a? broad winners, say 800,000. These divided into seotions as neutrals— including farmers, merchants, servants, &o.— there would be a small number left for non-Unionists and Unionists. Unionists vronld be but a small proportion of Mr. Millar's boasted number, 1,500,000. A little more blowing off traoh steam will allow the strikers to see how easily they are misled, and bo more carefnl in future. 1am.&0., Unit. Wellington, Oth October.
