[Bt TXLXaBAFB.] [umitko fbksß asbooiatioh. ] Cabtebtok, Thiß Dat. An important meeting of the Wairarapa. Pastoral and Agricultural Society was held at Carterton on Saturday. There was a large attendance. The private prizes amount to £220. exclusive of gold and silver medals and the Society's other prizes. From the support promised, the next show is expected to be the most auoceßsful yet held. The society's financial position is good. Thirty new members were elected, making over 200 on the roll. A small farmer living in the immediate vicinity of Carterton, has brought in a young weasel killed by his dogs on Saturday, aa showing how soon they have travelled from the back country.
