A NEW GAME.

Tennisette (says the Queen) is a fasoinating game, active, amusing and scientific, and it has the great advantage of being able to be played either out of doors or in a barn or Other covered building — a great thing on a wet day. The gamo requires two, four or more persons, each having five consecutive throws at the ball. These balls are thrown against a frame with five rings, and the frame ought to be placed against a wall, or before a screen, in order that the missing balls may rebound, and pass through one of the rings of the frame. If the ball pass through one of the large rings it counts 5; if through the small centre one 15. The player or side, as the oaie may be, first reaching 60 wins the game. For practice, and to acquire proficiency in this game, a small piece of white wool should be placed on the ground at one yard from the frame, and, standing at a distance of three and a half yards from the frame, the player should throw the ball at the piece of wool, making it rebound if necessary. This will give the player a correct idea of the force and angle at which the ball must be thrown.
