," H.F.." QreytowD.— l. The Derby is always run on the first day of the Victorian Spring Meeting. 2. Dreadnought only won the Derby. 3. Carbine only won the Flying Stakes on the third day (Tlmrsda)l of the meeting-. He was third to Abercom and Melos in the Melbourne Stakes on the first day, second to Bravo in the Melbourne Cup on tbe second day (Tuesday), and last in the Canterbury ! Plate won by Abercom on tbe fourth day
