(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. J Auckland, 9th July. The brigantine Stanley, which left Auckland on 18th April for South Africa, has arrived safely at Durban, Natal. The vessel took about twelvo passengers from Auckland. The Sonthorn Cross Goldmining Company, with a capital of £50,000, is being formed to purchaso the Deep Level Cross mine from the liquidator. The now company will bo established under the "no liability" seotion of tho Act. Cheibtchurch, 9th July. The Charitable Aid Board deoided to board out most of the inmates of Lyttelton Orphanage, and to maintain it only as a kind of reoeiving institution for children till homes can be found for thorn. In Juno charitable aid was administered in 487 cases in this district, three more than the proceeding month and 15 more than in June, 1889. Dunedin, 9th July. Four cordial manufacturers are to bo oharged with broaches of the Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks Act for applying false trade descriptions to sarsaparilla made by them.
