Alleged Fatse Imprisonment.

I | UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION] ApcfCLANi}, This Day, An aotion for false imprisonment, brought by Thomag George Savage, of Mata, Tauranga, against Henry Robert Bart, of the same place, haa just been concluded at the Supreme Court. The circumstances are, that in April last William Savage, a brother of the plaintiff, eloped with Butt's daughter Laura, aged }6, and they lived in the bush for % fortnight. Burt^suspooted the Savages, who are tyalf-castca/ »nd wjjen Tom Savage rofqied to help tp find th,e 'gfrl. Hurt hod him arrested. At the Police Court Burt asked for an adjournment, bqt it was refa Bed, and the 'charge, of abduotion ogainat William Savage waa dismissed, and that againat Thomas Uiyage withdrawn. Tom Savajfo then served Burt with a writ claiming £200 damages. The case waa heard before Mr. Justice Conolly, who gave judgment for the defendant with costs.
