The Volunteers.
+ The resignation of Lieutenant Charles H. Heenan, Wellington Guards, is gazetted. The commission of Lieutenant K. J. Lundon, Onohunga Volunteers is revoked, "his services being no longer required." The Guards' annual prizo firing has been arranged to take plaae on Saturday, 17th iuafc., at the Polhill Gully range, when a largo gathering is expeoted, as these oompetitions are always looked forward to with a considerable amount of interest. A management committee has been formed consisting of the following :— Capt. Mackintosh, Lieut Royle, Col.-Sergt. Hale, Sergts. Baoon and Stephens, Corpls. Preston and W. Ballinger, Privates Barr, O'Sullivan, O'Flahorty, Henry, A. Ballanger, Jones, and Laoey. A meoting of tho above will be held at Captain Mackintosh's residence on .Monday evening- nex6 to make all arrangements. Eley ammunition will bo nsod.
