Tho adjourned meeting of creditors in tho estato of Charles Callix, pnblisher, was held tbiH afternoon. Tho Official AsHigneo, who w&b in the chair, Btated that ho had gone through tho list of book debts with tho debtor and was of opinion that the amounts would be realised. Tho equity of redemption of the property in An.stin-strcet would bo put up to auction next Friday. " Bradshaw'a Guide" had beon offered to firms in Auckland and Dunodin, and if a aalo was not effeoted tho plant and goodwill would be put up to auction along with the Austin-streot property. Mr. Juhl (Lyon & Blair) asked whether it would not be advisable to defer tho sale of tho Austinstroot property for threo months in the hopo of getting a bottor price. The Official Assignco pointed out that it would not be wise to put off tho sale, as interest wonld bo accruing on tho loan from the Wellington Building and Investment Company. Mr. J. R. Kandorson (Mutual Creditors' Association) agrood with tho Official Assignee. Mr. Juhl suggested that separate tondors should bo called for tho goodwill and tho plant of tho Guide. Mr. H. Sexton asked whether the goodwill was worth anything in tho face of tho opposition from the Government Railway Commissioners' time-table. Mr. Juhl stated that there was a firm in Auckland who were prepared to give somothing for the right to nso the name of Bradubaw. It was dooided, on tho motion of Mr. Sexton, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to hand back to tho debtor .£SO worth of porsonal effects and fnrnituro, inclusive of tho amount allowed by tho Aot, and to accept £H0 for tho balanoo of tho fnrnitnro if the bankrupt's friends felt inolinod to make tho offor. It waa also resolved bo invito separate tenders for the plant and good will of Bradshaw's Guido, and to offer tho Austin-streot property for salo at auction noxt Friday.
