On' the 26th ultimo the Aoting-Secrotary of tho Trades and Labour Counoil wrote to (ho company, forwarding a copy of tbe resolution agreeing to arbitration on conrfiHou tbat a proper deed of submission be drawn , up binding both aidos to oarry ont the arbitrators' deoieion. To this no reply has peon received, exoopt the letter read last night, dated the 29th, notifying tho appointment of Dr. Maogregor on the company's side, and asking when the Council's arbitrator (Mr. G. B. Davy) oould attend iho first meoting. We are informod, howevor, by tbe Searatary to the company that on the 38th he wrote to tbe Council,' stating that his directors saw no necessity for a deod of Bubffliflsfon,, But would be willing to poruso any snob, doonfmont the Conncil might send to them.
