TO THE EDITOR. glß_Nowg IB _Now that tho Assistant UnderSeoretary of tho Defonoe Department has been made a full Colonol, I trust tho Government will rooogniao tho propriety of making all the Under Secretaries Major-Genorals, so that due gradation of military as well as olvil rank may be maintained. The propriety of promoting the Anditor-Qoneral, Solioitor-General, and Reßistrar-Genoral to tho rank of Field Marshal will also no doubt Buggest itself. I am, Ao., Corporal.
