Johnstone, one of the best forwards in the Ponsonby team last year, has taken up his residence in Wellington, and joined the Ponekes. Graham, late of the Karori and Athletic Clnbs, Ib now in Oamarn. He is a member of the Oamaru Club, and in a match with the Dunedin High School a few days ago he Bcored the try (obtained under difficult circnmstances) which defeated the other side. Speakman, who came out with the English team and subsequently joined the Ponekes, has joined the Wallaroo Club, Brisbane, and in recognition of his reputation the members have elected him captain. The Auckland Observer considers it a piece of cheek for the Wellington Engby Union to ask each of the junior clubs to guarantee £1 and 10s towards the cost of the Annual. Whiteside, the orack three-quarter back, who at one time played for the Ponekes, is now located in Tasmania, but is anxious to return to Wellington. Amongst the members of the North Melbourne Club is one of the Burnetts, who played through the colonies with the English team last season, and who ia well known to a number of Wellingtonians.
