Ho would maintain his present policy toward Ireland, even if he were absolutely aware Home Rule would be granted within fi.re years. Auckland, 9th May. A preliminary meeting of those interested in the Irish National causo was held this evening to consider tho question ot inviting to Auckland Mr. John Dillon and other Irish delegates at present in Australia. It was decided to hold a pablio meeting: on Monday to send an invitation and make arrangements for tbe reception of the delegates in this oity.
