In the Old Country there has been quite ' a run " on ladies' plush jackets, and the enquiries for those fashionable articles of attire have beon exceedingly numerous in this city. Nothing can exceed in attractiveness our plush mantles, with dolman sleeves, turndown collar, long fronts, trimmed with handsome plush ornaments, and lined with quilted satin, from three guineas to eight guineas. Tho best choioe of these is at Te Aro Honse. We are also showing a very charming lot of long, tight-fitting jackets, in plush and broche velvet, all of the very latest styles, from 35s 6d to five guineas. The best ohoioe of these iB at To Aro House. A very attractive lot of granny bonnets now on view, and the moßt superb millinery in tho city is at Te Aro House.—Adtt. Hitherto all persons who have ever started a reform in either business or social circles have been persecuted by thoir fellows, and all sorts of damaging reports spread about, calculated to injuro their business. This sort of thing is being done by some of my fellow-tradesmen, who Bee before them some of their fat profits cut down to a reasonable amount. One of the reports is that the extra pair of trousers are very inferior, and soon wear out. This, I need hardly Bay, is the result of trade jealousy, and is without the slightest truth. The suits purohased at any of my branohes are made by the best olass of hands obtainable, and of the best tweeds in the market, the only difference in my system is that I halve my profit with my oustomers by giving an extra pair of tronaers with each suit, and of the same material, if desired, or any other of the same value Everybody knows that a coat and vest will wear out two pair of trousers, and that is my reason for giving an extra pair of troußers with each suit. J. H. Dalton, tailor, 43, Cuba-street. —Advt
