The Secondary School Conference.

Tho Secondary Schools Conference has resolvod that it is desirable that the Edncation Board scholarships be awarded on the result of ono examination throughout the colony, and that the holders of scholarships should be required to attend the secondary schools. A motion asking the Government to appoint a Royal Commission of Education was negatived. Mr. Harkness, of Oamaru, was elected President of the Conference, which, it was decided, shall meot two years hence in Wellington, but if urgent business arises it shall meet in Dunedin noxfc yoar.
