INTERVIEW BETWEEN LOUD KNUTSFORD AND SIR H. BLAKE.
I UNITED PRESB ASSOCIATION.] London, 22nd November. The piovinoial presß strongly support Sir T. M'llwraith's attitude over the question of the new Governor. There is a consensus of opinion that Sir H. Blake's appointment will be cancelled. Lord Knutsford, in the course of m protracted interview with Sir H. A. Blake, oenßured the latter for allowing a representative of the Central News Agenoy to interview him. Tbe Secretary for the Colonies pointed out that this aotion had increased tbe difficulty of the Governnentin arranging fa satisfactory understanding.. Sir H. A. Blako left improssod with the belief that his appointment would be eanoelled. Subsequently Six H. Blytb, Agent-General for South Australia, and Lord Knutsford had a ' long conference. It is expeoted the Cabinet will oomo to a final deoision on Saturday. Mr Henniker Heaton, in a lengthy letter to The Times, says that a summary of tke 1 difficulty with Queensland is comprehended in England's treatment of New Guinea and the Mußgrave inoident. Th« letter baa attracted much attention. 23rd November. The Tfanes states that Sir H. A. Blake has placed himrfelf entirely in the hands o( Lord Knutsford. _
