[united press association. I PiiTMOUTH, 20th October. Sailed — Rimutaka, for New Zealand. London, 22nd October. New Zealand beef, 3d to 4d. 23rd October. Wool has advanced id. 25th October. Australian mutton is quoted at 4}d ; He/f Zealand mutton, 4|d to sd. At the Antwerp sales wool advanced id ; 9000 bales were offered, 1300 of which were Australian. 27th October. Tallow— Mutton, 30s 3d ; beef, 29b. The English wheat market shows a change, and prices are a little hotter. The Continental market is firm, and the American market tending upward. Australian wheat, ox warehouse, 42s 6d. For cargoes of new crop sellers are asking 425. New Zealand long-berried declined od, and is now quoted at 42s 6d. Australian flour, ex storju, 28s 6d ; New Zealand flour, ex store,2 7«. Fine samples of colonial oats are quoted at 24a' per quarter. 29th October. An off-coast cargo of wheat has been Bold at from 41s to 41s 6d. New Zealand hemp, .£3O 5a to £31. Arrived — Tamui, at Plymouth. Hobart, 30th October. Arrived — Aorangi, at 3 o'olook this morning. She sails at 7 to-night for New Zealand. She brings 130 passengers for Australia and 159 for New Zealand. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have receive the following cable advice from London, dated 26th instant :— Tallow— Market is irregular, and the demand is purely speculative and partly consumptive; good mutton tallow is worth 30s 6d per cwt ; good beef tallow is worth 29a 3d per cwt. Frozen Meat — There is no demand for either lamb or mutton ; the market is glutted with supplies of American beef ; Canterbury mutton is worth 4jd per lb, and Wellington mutton is worth 4|d per lb. New Zealand Hemp— Medium quality is worth £30 per ton.
