J DpNßpiN, 39th Pecembor, The first wool sales of the season were held to-day, when thero was a largo attend' ance of local buyers and representatives from English and Continental bnyers. Bidding was brisk, especially for fine half and cros«breds light in grease, the prices realis«d being id to, \A higher than the corresponding sales last year. Greasy half and crossbred*, light in grease, sold at 7}d to lOd ; ditto heavy in grease and badly got up, Gd to 7|d. Oamaru, 29th December. The New Zealand Shipping Company's Bhip Qrori sailed out of tho harbqpr to.day, bound for London, with a cargo of wool, skins, and tallow, valued at £70,000.
