[Bt Telegraph.] [united presß association.] Auckland, 27th Docomber. A woman named Mary Burko was drowned on Saturday night at Woodhill, by falling into a crook. Tho woman, with a man named Hannors, were soon by a neighbour pulling up the stream. He states that they wero drunk, and that he offered to pull the boat across the stream, but they refused. The body of the woman was afterward found in the stream. A farmer named William Routley was found dead in his stable at Pukekohe at 3 p.m. yestorday. New Pltmouth, 27th December. A man named Jeremiah Hunter was killed at Stratford on Saturday when bnsh-fclling, a treo striking him on the groin. Hokitika, 27th December. Mr. E. Rawlings, overseer of the Christchurch road, mot with a severe accident whilo clearing away the landslip near Rocky Point. Both of his legs were injured, and he was hurt internally, and died whilst being carried to the Kuraara Hospital. Oamaru, 27th December. A single man named John Pringle, aged 26, died suddenly at Otepopo on Sunday night. A man named Johnston, in the employ of Mr. Reid, of Elderßlio, was found lying under a drag ho had been driving. His back was broken, the drag having gono over him. He died this morning in the hospital. Napier, This Dat. A man named Murdoch Young, employed on a lighter at tho Port, was missed last night. He was last seen at 10 o'clock leaving the Railway Hotol, tho worso for liquor. His bat was found on board the lighter. Tho body was recovered this morning in the Inner Harbour.
