PERFECT WIVES.
«A Perfect Wife for £25.' Such is the hfading of an advertisement which has come into our delighted hands (s lys the St. James's Gazette). It is issued by a lady who is going to start a school for wives. In these., days of garish accomplishments " the practical side of woman's nature " is neglected. In the new academy will be developed. Girls who go there will be " instructed in housewifery duties." The classes will consist of cookery, dressmaking, physiology, bookkeeping, elocution, and debating. The bookkeeping will be very useful. The perfect wife, who keeps her husband's choice editions, instead of lending them to casual acquaintances, is fur above rubies.
