Sydney, 18th September. The following is a list of tho probable starters for tho Great Metropolitan Stakos, to be run for on Tuesday next: — Spado Guinea, First Chester, Jewel, Dunlop, Kitawa, Acolyte, Pasha, Crossfire, Frisco, Phaon, Folly, Matador, Dividend, Morok, Cardigan, Felon, Aberdeen and Upper Cut. Yesterday's meeting was a most successful one. About 12,000 persons wore present. The Hon. Mr. Whito succeeded in winning three events out of the six on tho programme The race for tho Derby may bo described as a good one, but it was won easily by Abercorn. Enfilade- was in too fat condition and did not move freely. Niagara ran splendidly, and the greatost enthusiasm prevailed whilst the horsos wore in the straight. The racing generally was good.
