Shaw's cricket team for Australia will ooraprise :—Shrewsbury, Ulyett, Preston, Pilling, Briggs, Lohmann, Maurice Read, Lillywhite, Pougher, also Messrs. W. Nowham and J. Brain (? G. Brann), amateurs. The London correspondent of the Melbourne Argus says that Brigga, the celebrated Lancashire player, was the hero of a most remarkable bowling performance at Wantwich, in Cheshire, last May. Playing for a team got together by A. N. Hornby against fourteen of Church Minshull, he took in the two innings seventeen wickets for 11 runs, and ho made 96 with the bat. The first eleven wickets wero taken without a run being scored, and Brigga actually clean bowled bix wickets with six oonseoutive balls. ____________
