The Case of Mr. Forwood.

Deteotive Herbert, who was sent to Melbourne to bring over to Auckland Mr. Porwood on a charge of larceny as a bailee, returned from Melbourno yesterday. It appears that the journey to Auckland at the present season of the year in Mr. Forwood's state of health would prove hazardous, if not fatal, and the case is thus at a standstill till his health permits of the voyage.
