Cricket.
We have been requested to state that no Cup matches will be played on the Basin Reserve to-morrow. Tbe following trial eleven will represent the Poneke Club against all comere on the Midland Club's pitch at Island Bay tomorrow:— Beck, BUndford, Cowper, Davis, Francis, Kirker, Nioholls, Ogilvie, Renner, Stinson, and Wiren. In yiew of the approaohing Cup matches a good muster is requested. Somervillo's 'bus will leave the Government Buildings at 2 p.m., and will pass the Basin Reserve at 2.15 sharp. In consequence of the sloppy Btate of the ground, the match between the Petoiie and Wellington Worlting Men's Clubß will not take plaoe until to-morrow week. The following will represent the Welcome C.C. in their match at Petone on Saturday : A. Howe (captain), C. Tnstin, G. Thirkell, wW- l? w S^ r ' G - Eead ' w - Cra 'S' E - Wybe, W. Staff, R. Read, F. Lorwell, S. Carman -, emergencies —W. Coster, E. Reeves, A. Ashbolt. A conveyance will leave Duke of Edinburgh Hotel at 1.30.
