Auckland, 23rd March. The Tarawo'ft arrived from Sydney thii evoninir, at 5.30 o'olook. On the morning after leaving Sydney a seaman named F. Andrews fell overboard. The alnrm— " A j man overboard" — was raised, the chief offioer being then on watoh. The engines were at once stopped and revoraed. A lifebuoy was thrown overboard, and a quartermaster sent aloft to watoh the spot. A boat was lowered, wbioh picked the man up insensible nine minutes from hia first immorsion. Eight minutes later the steamer was going at full'speed on her course. Andrews has quite recovered.
