Twenty guineas per cent, has boon charged for underwriting tho ship Tosshead, bound from Australia, to San Francisco, now overdue Mr. J. Douglas, C.M.G., has boon appointed Interim High Commissioner of New Guinea. Parleying, which has boon proceeding between the Agents-General and the Colonial Office regarding the appointment, as well as to matters respecting Fiji, has been suspended until after the holidays.
