A NUISANCE. TO THE EDITOR.
Sin— The residents of Ohiro-road are com- 1 plaining of the stenoh arising from the watercourse running along the road. Near the top of the hill, on either side of the road, there is a boUing-doVm place and a sheep farm. The sewage from tbeso places runs into the watercourse whioh joins a little above some cottages, then continuing along the Mad, running past and oloae to tha cottages, taking the refuse matter in the direction of Happy Valley. My object in writing is to draw the attention of the proper authorities to the -uisauoe, whioh, if not abated, may cause illness. I do not know what bearing tho Aot has in suoh oases, but I would point out that the proper place for objectionable refuse is the ground, whioh it fertilizes. It should not be allowed to run into a water, course running along » publio road. Of course no ene would blamt people for using a waternourse for this purpose, if the law does not prohibit it. I am, Ao., Happy Valley.
