THE EXHIBITION.

I The attendance yesterday wai 1691, 1383 ' ef whom passed throngh the main entrance in the evening. The attraction last night was a concert. 1 followed by the production of Gilbert and Sullivan's satirical operetta, "Trial by Jury." Both entertainments proved highly 1 successful. At the concert songa wore contributed by Mrs. Parsons, Mias Randell, and Mr. E. J. Hill, and all of them were well received. That sun? by Mrs. Parsons waa entitled " The Mountaineer's Home," and it was given with violin obbligato by Mr. Connolly. The most successful items on the programme, however, were a couple of flute solos by Mx. Joan Kadcliffe, *' There is no Luck about the House" and "Rule, Britannia." Eaoh solo waa splendidly rendered, and the audience enjoyed a genuine treat. The performance of '• Trial by Jury" was really good, and general satisfaction waa expressed at the manner in which the operetta was produced. Ihe characters were allotted as follows:— The Learned Judge, Mr. W. D. Lyon; Counsel for the Plaintiff, Mr. J. W. Hill ; The Defendant, Mr. E. J. Hill ; Foreman of the Jury, Mr. Cecil F. Key worth; Ueher, Mr. Trant Chambers; The Plaintiff, Madame Pauline Rita. Mr. Kadcliffe acted as conductor. " Trial by Jury" will be repeated this evening. It will again be preceded by a concert, at whioh Mr. John Badoliffe will contribute aolos on the flute.
