Commercial Telegrams.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company (Limited) have received the following telegram from their London office, dated the 10th instant :— Wool— The sales closed to-day at an average decline of nearly 7J per cent, on last sale's dosing rates, except for long staple merino, light in grease, for which the market is unchanged, and superior merino hi: ibs, which is firmer. For coarse greasy crossbred the market is easier. The Home and German demand is good, bnt from other quarters the domand ia poor, except the American inquiry for long aiaple merino, light in grease, which is also goed The sales comprise 286,000 bales; 7000 bales have been held over for future disposal; 6000 bales have been taken for America and 139,000 for the Continent. Mesers. Murray, Roberta & Co. yesterday received the following cable message from their London house, Messrs. Sanderson, Murray k Co.:— The sales have closed
without animation. Faulty wools and fine orossbreds have declined id.
