On Saturday, tho 21st inst., Borne very successful experiments were made hore, demonstrating thn complete efficiency of the Harflou Star Hand Grenades in extinguishing fire. Without going iuto detail, I may add that the Committee of the Asylum, in whose presence tho experiments took place, were so satisfied of the value of the invention, that they ordered fifteen dozen of the Grenades for distribution throughout the Asylum. Dear Sir, — On February Ist our watohman discovered a fire at the baok of our boilers. When first he saw it the flames were about 6 feet high. He immediately used one of your Grenades, which checked the fUmeßj but finding they were likely to broak out again, he üßod another one, which completely put out the fire.
