TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,— As one who has had a Bitting with Mr. Hug, I may perhaps b« allowed to add ray testimony, which I venture to think will furnish Dr. Gillon with food for reflection. The thought-reading theory will not, I think, hold good in my case, became my thought* wore not concentrated on my oomplaint, bnt on Mr. Hug and hi» utterances. He described my internal organs from the brain downwards, bnt as I do not wish to bore you with all the details, it will be sufficient for my purpose to refer to one instance, which I think will seriously interfere with Dr. GUlon's thought-ieading theory. Mr. Hiig described my heart a« Being perfectly sound and healthy. Now, I certainly had not been thinking of that organ' and did not know in what condition it was. Subsequently, when a candidate for insurance in the Government Offioe, I was examined and passed by a medical man, who (not knowing that Mr. Hiig had examined me) bore out the ltttor's statement in respect to the above-named organ. I hare only to add that Mr. Hug unhesitatingly gave the came of my complaint, while prior to my visit to that individual three medical men who had examined me had each a different theory to account for the cause of my oomplaint, lam, Ac, C. H. Hills. Tory-Btreet, 29th May. Messrs. W. * J. Staples, of the Original Boot Shop, Willis-street, advertise in another column, tno arrival of eight trunks fashionable boots and shoes. The details of a number of properties to be sold by Messrs. T. Kennedy MaodonaJd & Co. appear in other oolumn.
