[Bt Telxqraph. 1 IXJNITID PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Ohbibtchubch, 29th May. At its meeting to-day, the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce resolved to interest the other Chambers of this and the Australian Colonies in a combined effort to reduce the charges on cuttle messages sent by the New Zealand line. The Chamber also resolved to send to the South Sea Islands to enquire, in the interests of this part of the oolony, into all matters of commercial interest there, the cost to be borne by subscription raised in Canterbury.
