Spies who have rome in from Hasheen and Tamai report that the enemy have evacuated the visages ia the neighbourhood, and a detachment of cavalry will consequently reconnoitre in the direction of Tamai to-morrow. A reconnaisance was made to-day as far as Hasheen. A few rebels were encountered, but they retted on the approach of the British troops. The construction of a line of railway from this place to Handoub is beitig vigorously proceeded with. The New South Wales infantry were reviowed this afternoon by General Graham. The colonials wore their new karkee unifoim, and presented a smart appearance. In consequence of tho disappearance of the rebels from the neighbourhood of Hasheen, the proposed general advance from this place to Tamai has been postponed for a day or two. Tho market rate of discount has declined to 2J, and is now g below tho Bank rate. Colonial breadstuffs. — Adelaido wheat, off coast, is realising 355. Quotations ex store for Adelaide and New Zealand wheat, and Adelaide flour, are unchanged. Wool— At to-day's auction, 11,000 bales woro offered. Tho markot whs quieter. Tho Shaw, Savill & Albion Company's steamship lonic, from We ll; ngton, arrived at Plymouth last ovoning. Her cargo ia in good condition.
