THE SENTENCES. IBy Telkgbapd.] (.UNHID PBESB ASSOCIATION.] Haweba, 12th February. { The cases under the Distillation Act concluded to-night. The sentences were as follows :•— John Anderson and Peter Smith, makers of the illicit whisky, six months' imprisonment; George Mobs, hotolkeeper, Woodville, convicted of supplying material to work the still, was fined £200 ; Bourke, brewer, H&wera, convicted of carrying the whisky, was fined £200; Thomas Lloyd, hotelkeeper, Hawera, convicted of having illicit whisky in his possession, was fnea £50. All the fines wore paid.
